Seven nights and eight days might seem short, but if you connect the key cities well, you can make a truly fulfilling trip. I'll introduce a route based on my own experiences and experiences.
Days 1 and 2: Rome, the city of antiquity and art
If you're new to the city, the first thing you should do is visit Rome. The Colosseum and the Roman Forum are definitely the first places you should visit!
After lunch, take photos at the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, or Spanish Steps, and in the evening, enjoy a plate of pasta and a glass of wine in Trastevere, a street loved by locals!
Start your next day with a visit to the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica. The panoramic view of Rome from the dome observatory will be unforgettable.
Day 3: Naples and Pompeii, the volcanic city and real pizza
Take an early morning train to Naples. As soon as you arrive, you have to try Neapolitan pizza. A real, authentic Margherita without cream!
In the afternoon, we'll head to the ruins of Pompeii. The city, buried under volcanic ash 2,000 years ago, remains untouched, truly breathtaking. If you have the energy, we recommend a quick stop over to Sorrento or Positano!
Once you arrive in Florence, simply walking around will make you happy. Start at the Duomo, then take a leisurely stroll to the Uffizi Gallery and the Ponte Vecchio.
In the evening, I highly recommend taking in the night view from Piazzale Michelangelo. On day five, a day trip to the Leaning Tower of Pisa is also a great option. Creative poses are a must when taking photos in front of the leaning tower.
Day 6: Venice, the romantic city on the water
Venice has a different vibe from the moment you arrive. There are no cars, and transportation is entirely by boat. During the day, take a gondola ride and leisurely cruise through the canals.
End your day with a cup of coffee in St. Mark's Square, a tour of St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace, and an evening stroll along the canals bathed in the sunset.
Days 7-8: Milan and Lake Como, the end of the trip
The final destination is the northern city of Milan!
The Duomo Cathedral is beautiful from the outside, but the rooftop is truly breathtaking. Enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee at the Galleria shopping mall right next door.
